Birmingham

The city of Birmingham is the second largest city after London, with a population of over 1 million. The city is therefore packed with things to do and places to see and makes for a very interesting place to learn English. Birmingham was at the centre of the industrial revoultion in the UK placing it at the forefront of many developments within science and technology as well as manufacturing and commerce. Birmingham's three universities and two university colleges also make it the largest centre of higher education outside London, this provides a lively student atmosphere and a huge sense of cultural diversity.
There are many smaller towns and suburbs that surround this great city and these all have a sense of history and individuality. The city is also well connected to London and Manchester via fast rail networks and has two international airports.
Why learn English in Birmingham?
Birmingham offers students access to an incredible amount of cultural activities to experience. The city's cultural institutions such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Birmingham Royal Ballet have acquired international acclaim. The courses that we offer in Birmingham are designed to teach the student whilst staying in the home of the teacher. Teacher homes are typically outside Birmingham centre and located in one of the many interesting suburban towns that have developed over time as Birmingham has expanded. These locations are generally safer and smaller whilst still providing easy access to the city centre.
