South Africa
The country of South Africa sits at the southernmost tip of the continent of Africa. This means that a vast amount of the country is made up of dramatic coastline and stunning beaches. It also looks out over two oceans and watches the Pacific Ocean merge with the Indian Ocean between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. There are now 11 official languages in South Africa so it may seem like an unusual place to learn English. However, the use of English as an offical language dates back to 1910. Learning about the country's fascinating history will keep you busy outside the classroom and will give you plenty to speak about in class with your fellow English-learners.
