Course details:
Lessons include many exercises that use games, songs and posters to make the English language learning more enjoyable. The schools also uses a ‘Project 100’ poster in every classroom which guarantees that they teach every group at least 100 new English words and phrases every week. Students learn from the school's own specially written study booklets that are designed for teenagers studying English on short summer programmes. Every lesson covers a different topic, so you can be sure that lessons will include many different subject areas in your programme, providing something of interest to everyone.
Social programme:
Every day, the school organises different afternoon and evening activities for students to take part in. Most activities arranged for the students are free, and the other activities are not expensive. Activities include discos, quiz nights, ice cream making, ice-skating, sports, visits to places such as Bristol Zoo, shopping and more. They also arrange Saturday day trips for students, which gives them a chance to see places outside Bristol during their time in England. They visit places such as the famous Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and London. There is a different trip each week, giving students a chance to see a variety of places during their stay.
Students are also given a chance to learn an English song or play that they like in their lessons. They then learn and practise their selection and can perform for the other students in a talent show. This is a good way for students to learn English and enjoy themselves at the same time.
Social Programme events are supervised by teachers and group leaders, with one teacher for every 15 – 20 students. If students are going on a trip outside the college, each student is given the school's emergency contact numbers and the teachers’ phone numbers for their safety.
