Vancouver School - General Course

This course teaches General English and uses all four elements of language study: reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as giving you grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary on a daily basis. This course is designed to teach you English for General Purposes and attracts students of all ages and nationalities.

Courses run from Monday to Friday and can be booked from 1 or 2 weeks up to as many weeks as you like.

Your English language level will be tested by the school on your first day (or online in advance) in order to place you in the correct group.

Maximum class size: 13 students

Lesson Length: 60 minutes

Materials included: no

Schedule: 15 lessons per week

Timetable: 09:00 - 13:45 Monday to Friday

Public holidays:

2012: Jan 2, Feb 18, Apr 6 & 9, May 23, June 10, Jul 1, Aug 1, Sep 5, Oct 10, Nov 11, Dec 26.

Where a public holiday falls on a Monday, courses will start on the Tuesday instead.
Lessons missed on public holidays cannot be made up.

Accommodation options and pricing:

Host Family
Single room, full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner daily)

Shared student apartment
Single room, self catering

Please note: Accommodation arrival day is Sunday and departure day is Saturday. Please contact us if you need to book extra nights.

Please also note that accommodation in Vancouver can be up to 60 minutes travelling time to the school, due to the size of the city. Host families are however located in safe residential neighbourhoods.
